The Continental Bakery is a quaint little sweet spot serving up delicious pastries and artisan breads.
This is the first post in what I hope will become somewhat of a series. I’ve always had a pretty intense sweet tooth and loved baking. However, I’m not one to run a food blog or invent my own recipes…been there, tried that, didn’t work out. I did want to find a way to incorporate my love for baked goods into this blog though. So, for that reason, I present to you “sweet spots”! In this “sweet spots” series, I want to share the bakeries, cafe, and sweet spots I visit in my hometown and in my travels.
Last weekend, hubs and I stopped by The Continental Bakery. This place is located in the very quaint English Village in Mountain Brook, Alabama. The inside is just as cute as the outside. The decor is super cute and eclectic.
They offer delicious pastries, pies, macarons, cakes, and artisan breads. They also have some of the cutest decorated sugar cookies!
Hubs and I grabbed some macarons, a chocolate almond tortlette, and some cokes!
I love a good macaron and these were delish!
A nice little nook to have a pastry, a cup of coffee, and read a book.
Overall, I thought this little place was adorable and the desserts we ordered were delicious. If you’re ever in the Birmingham area, I would recommend dropping by this place. The atmosphere is great so maybe bring a book and hang out for a little bit!
Hubby and I are looking into some possible road trips this summer, so let me know if you have any recommendations of new sweet spots for us to try!
